Our mum
Mum had end stage dementia and passed away this week. The care and compassion she received from all of the staff, without exception (cleaners to manager ) was second to none. They also understand the needs of family in dealing with this cruel illness that robs them of their loved one. Mum was diagnosed 4 years ago with dementia and had previously received very mixed standards of care both in her own home and in other care homes, which had left us feeling desperate and angry. Thank God for Bennetts Castle care home because they have been our salvation at this awful time, and have restored our faith in dementia care. Thank you to the whole team for looking after mum in her final days because we feel that our mum at last can truly rest in peace.

My Dad
He resides there, he has dementia, he is looked after there, has his own room and 24/7 care. He is looked after now in later stages of his illness. Staff are kind and friendly. The home is near public transport via bus services but not near any train station, nearest train stations Barking, Heathway, Goodmayes which is a bus ride to them. But has a car park for parking visitors. A few local small shops near by.

1. Review of Bennetts Castle Care Centre on Thursday 5 June 2014 by Kevin Cunningham (Mother in care home)
Mother spent the last two weeks of her life being cared for by the team at Bennetts Castle Care Home. Although Mum was unsure were she was, the care she received was second to none. All the carers and management showed concern and compassion for the residents who were living in the home and the visitors that came to see the members of their family. We were told that this was our mums home and that we could visit any time we liked, just as we would if Mum was in her own house. Apart from the high visual standards in the home all the residents when we visited, were up, dressed, clean and ready for their day. They all seemed very happy. It seemed that no request was too much for the caring team. Different activities were being carried out to ensure the residents were stimulated and entertained. I would not hesitate to recommend this home as a safe and secure place to ensure members of your family are cared for in the autumn of their lives. My Father is a resident at this care home and has always been treated well and the staff are kind to him. he has a nice room and he can be real moody at times with his condition worsening but they always manage with him.
