Our Team
Bennetts Castle Care Centre is managed by a senior professional nursing team led by our Management team. We operate a values based recruitment system that ensures only the most dedicated, respectful, warm and caring people and strongly believe in the further up-skilling and education of our staff. Bennetts has been noted to have an extremely low turnover of staff with many of our staff with us since the centre opened. The corridors often echo with laughter and we believe this is testament to the happy atmosphere in the home.
Our Key Team
Basil Hollington
Owner/Director
Basil Hollington is the owner and Director of Bennetts Castle Care home. He designed and built the home in 2004 and it has provided the highest level of care for Nursing residents ever since. He has a hands on role within the home and has an extremely caring nature.
Joanne Barlow and Helen Norris joined Bennetts Castle in 2013 to run the finance department. Their roles soon evolved into overseeing the general management of the home and making sure that Bennetts Castle has the family feel and qualities that any Nursing Home deserves. The dignity and respect of our residents is our main focus and priority. As sisters we strive to create a family feel within our home that we would hope and expect for any family member of our own.

Every member of the team has been selected for their empathy and contribution to the family atmosphere. We believe this genuine spirit of caring makes a vital contribution to the health and well-being of the ‘whole person’. This ‘family atmosphere’ is something that can only be created by truly dedicated people, not just those with formal qualifications, important though these are.
The centre retains a single GP for all our residents to ensure quality and consistency of resident care and to ensure the GP knows our residents as well as the staff. Furthermore the centre has regular visiting audiology, chiropody, dental and ophthalmology teams to ensure those residents who are unable to attend appoints are seen in the comfort of their own home.
Behind the scenes the housekeeping, catering and maintenance staff make their own essential contributions to the smooth running and happy atmosphere of the Centre enjoyed by all of our residents and are often seen sharing a cup of tea with residents.
